Wheelchair Services Contracts

Bartrams have over 25 years of wheelchair service contracts management experience and are currently overseeing contracts in 7 districts serving in excess of 38,000 wheelchair users.

We have a team of 65 co-ordinators, engineers and occupational therapists on hand to provide a complete service covering:

  • Patient evaluation
  • Assessment clinics
  • Experience of purchasing in excess of £1.5M worth of wheelchairs per year
  • Collective purchasing power
  • Wheelchair delivery, set up and client demonstration & training
  • NHS Approved Repairer
  • 34 ‘Mobile Workshop’ vehicles covering dedicated areas
  • After hours emergency ‘on-call’ service up to 22:30, plus weekends and bank holidays
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme (PPM)

We pride ourselves in having a team of highly trained engineers.  As well as going through an Enhanced DBS security check, each engineer will have completed a rigorous development programme to ensure that all issues can be resolved swiftly for both manual and electric wheelchairs.  Our aim is to resolve all issues ‘on site’.  However, in extremely exceptional circumstances when this is not possible, we have the support of dedicated workshops and engineering departments, together with a comprehensive stock of wheelchair spare parts to ensure that all repairs are dealt with within 36 hours.
